Training Overview

Reduce the threat of student violence. Learn how to prevent and respond to incidents legally.

There have been 37 school shootings this year and 129 since 2018. Students perpetrated many of these tragedies—going back to Columbine in 1999.

Teachers and other school staff members are increasingly the victims of lesser threats from students and parents. According to a new survey from the American Psychological Association, one-third of teachers reported that they had experienced at least one incident of verbal harassment or threat of violence from students since the beginning of the pandemic.

Bottom line: Violent talk and violent actions by K-12 students have reached a crisis stage that you need to address proactively. You can put a concrete plan in place to reduce threats this school year and know how to respond if they occur.
