
Attorney Cheryl Lipton, herself a high school athlete, spent six years as an attorney for the national law firm of Seyfarth Shaw LLP where she was actively engaged in providing materials and advice to school administrators. Her practical and legal experience, as well as her communication skills, places her in an optimal position to provide school administrators with the information they need to deal with this complex issue. Her background includes providing content for training programs on these complex issues for seminars, presentations, newsletters and publications. She also spent 10 years as an appellate attorney with two government agencies and taught as an adjunct professor at DePaul and John Marshall law schools.
Ms. Lipton’s undergraduate degree is from Northwestern University. She received her J.D. cum laude from Washington College of Law at American University. She is admitted to the Bars of Illinois and Maryland.
Ms. Lipton is currently a principal of The GhostWriters, Ltd. that provides web-based and print materials for both non-legal and legal audiences.
